Acer Netbooks Revamp Their Ferrari
Acer Ferrari One Impressive Netbook
Acer Ferrari One Netbook ?
Netbooks are very popular and getting more popular by the day ! Here are some figures - almost 14 million netbooks were sold worldwide in the first 6 months of 2009 - the most popular netbooks in Europe are made by Acer 32% and Asus 19% (NB : it is Acera that make the Ferrari Netbook not Asus) - click here for Asus Disney Netpal Netbook. Netbooks are preferred over notebooks when it comes to using them on the move and in public places (netbooks are smaller and lighter and let you use the Internet and e-mail etc...) - the popularity of netbooks is driving down the price of notebooks (hooray!).
One of the best netbooks you can find at the moment is the strikingly red Acer Ferrari One 200. If you like red and fancy a netbook with the Ferrari logo on the front then this is the one for you. It has also been described as the most exquisitely designed netbook ever. It certainly is visually impressive and in addition to its redness it has four tiny rubber tyres moulded to the underside, to differentiate it from the rest of the netbook pack.
When CNET reviewed the Acer Ferrari One they said it is not just a pretty face, it is also a great netbook which has a huge keyboard for improved typing ease (let's face it, small keyboards can be a pain). The Acer Ferrari One, they said, is in fact “arguably the best netbook we have ever tested”. For starters it has the much faster AMD 2nd Generation Ultra-thin Platform (Congo) and AMD Athlon X2 L310 dual core processor installed, along with ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics (more graphics power than most 'ordinary' netbooks).

Some people may consider the Acer Ferrari netbook to be an ultrathin notebook, but it is more accurate to call it a souped-up netbook on steroids.
It will ship with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit, or Windows 7 Home Basic, and has been priced at around $499 in the US, €450 in Europe and £395 in the UK.
So if you can afford it and are looking around for a powerful netbook or a Christmas gift idea for someone who likes to keep in touch on the go then the Acer Ferrari One netbook is certainly a strong contender.
